i’m 17 years old and learning how to truly love somebody. to me, the only way to love somebody is to serve them, protecting, being patient, giving etc. in a friendship, this is very easily attainable. however in a romantic relationship, emotions get entangled and it is so hard to focus on the true reason why we were created– to do God’s work. but how can one “court” or be married without having those emotions and attractions. what is marriage? how do christians know that that someone is the one God intended for them to be with?

It says blessed is the man who does not walk in the council of the ungodly, nor stand in the path of sinners or sit in the seat of the scornful. It calls us to live holy. Beyond just reading the bible, do you consecrate yourself daily? Do you fast? Please share how you aspire to live Christ-like in your daily lives. What about your lifestyle (besides attending church and maybe praying over your food in public) distinguishes you as a Christian?

I think it is in small part, the inability to any see significant difference between our walk and that of say ‘a moral unbeliever’, that bring on such reproach from those who question our faith.

Why do christian missionaries risk their life just to tell the message of Christ to the farthest and most hostile communities of the world?

From what i see, all they receive is rejection, hate, violence and insult for their efforts to share what they have found and obey what their Master has commanded them to do.

What is it that motivates them to embrace this death wish, even though there’s no money or comfort or revenge to gain from this?
